China Construction Bank Singapore Branch (“CCB SG” or the “Branch”) and Guangdong Foshan Branch have successfully held an Online Promotion of Home Appliances (the “Event”) on May 11, 2021. The Event received strong support from the head office of China Construction Bank (“CCB” or the “Group”) and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. With CCB Match Plus as a platform, 54 home appliance manufacturers in Foshan and 605 local companies, as potential buyers in Singapore, participated in the Event.

The live broadcast introduced four leading companies in the home appliance sector in Foshan and showcased their products, to match the supply with potential demand in Singapore and help participants explore business and collaboration opportunities. Close to 1,500 people watched the live broadcast.

Deputy General Manager Ma Jun of CCB Guangdong Branch and Deputy General Manager Su Jin of CCB Singapore Branch delivered speeches respectively at the Event. They expressed CCB’s commitment to supporting export companies in their business and highlighted that CCB would attend to companies’ evolving needs in its implementation of the Dual-Circulation Strategy. CCB will also support China’s development towards an all-round opening-up, work to strengthen the international collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative and seize the strategic opportunities brought by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RECP). The two branches will jointly promote the regional economic and trade cooperation between China and Singapore, and with other countries in the region.

To address the issue of many export companies in China unwilling or unable to accept orders due to the global economic uncertainties amid COVID-19, the Event also invited representatives from China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, who gave an introduction on some guarantee products and services, and some favourable policies.
